Velocity is a steel launched roller coaster located at Flamingo Land in Malton, Yorkshire, England, UK. It is the second Vekoma Motorbike Coaster installation, and the only motorbike roller coaster from any company in the United Kingdom.
History
Velocity opened on 2 July 2005.
For the 2020 season, Velocity was painted red with grey supports and the train was painted red and yellow. Previously, the ride had orange track and blue supports, and the train was blue and yellow.[1]
Design
The ride features a long launch section into a figure-8 shaped helix, two bunny hills and the final brake section.
Trains
Single train with 8 cars. In each car, riders are arranged 2 across in a single row, for a total of 16 riders per train. The train is designed to give the rider the feeling that they are riding a motorbike.
