HELP

Cobra's Curse is a steel spinning roller coaster located at Busch Gardens Tampa in Tampa, Florida, USA. It was built by Mack Rides and has an elevator lift.

History

In order to build the ride, the King Tut's Tomb attraction was closed and the building that contained it was expanded. Parts of Tut's Tomb were integrated into the queue line for Cobra's Curse. Because of this, the ride is themed around an archeological expedition into an abandoned Egyptian tomb. The queue contains live snakes and projection mapping.

Construction on Cobra's Curse began in January 2015.

The ride was announced on May 28, 2015.[1]

The track pieces arrived on site in October 2015, and construction began shortly after.[2]

Cobra's Curse had its first test run in April 2016, and opened on June 17, 2016.[3]
