Jormungandr is a steel powered coaster located at Drayton Manor Resort in Drayton Bassett, Staffordshire, England, UK. It was built by Zamperla and opened in 1987.[1]
History
The ride was known as the Buffalo Coaster from its opening in 1987, until the 2022 season. The ride was also referred to as "Buffalo Mountain Coaster" and was located in the Aerial Park section.
For the 2002 season, Buffalo was repainted its current colour scheme. Previously, it was painted white and the trains were refurbished by Severn Lamb.[2]
The ride was rethemed to Jormungandr for the 2022 season, being incorporated into the new Vikings themed area.[3] The theme now resembles Loki's Serpent Snake. It reopened on 28 May 2022 with the new themed area.[4]
