River Rapids is a River Rapids ride built by Swiss manufacturer Intamin currently located at Drayton Manor Resort in Fazeley, Staffordshire, England, UK.
History
The ride originally opened in 1993 as Splash Canyon Rapids and was themed around a western mining town. Following an unfortunate accident in May 2017, the ride was closed.
The ride reopened on 11 August 2021 as part of a new themed area named Adventure Cove. The refurbished ride features new 9-seater boats (replacing the original 6-seaters), similar to those used on Infinity Falls at SeaWorld Orlando, and sports a new vibrant maritime theme.
