Murder Lodge (Japanese: マーダーロッジ) is a Walk-Through currently located at Tokyo Joypolis in Odaiba, Minato, Tokyo, Japan. It is located on the 3rd Floor, previously known as Mysterious and Floor 5.[1] The attraction originally opened in 1997.

Ride Variants

Like with all Murder Lodge installments at Joypolis parks, the Tokyo version of the attraction has seen extensive rethemes to the same ride system.[2]

  • December 1999-2000 - Ring 0: Sadako (リング0~貞子~) (Tie-in to Ring 0: Birthday)[5]
  • 20 July 2000-2001 - School Day of the Dead - 3D Sound (死者の学園祭~3Dサウンド~) (Tie-in to School Day of the Dead)[6]
  • 2001 - Murder Lodge (Japanese: マーダーロッジ)[7]
  • 1 December 2001-2003 - The Dinner of the Thirteen Fearful People (十三人恐怖の晩餐) (Morning Musume endorsed attraction)[8]
  • 22 April 2003-April 2005 - Kagome Uta - Encounter (Part 1) (かごめ唄 - 遭遇(前編)) (Morning Musume endorsed attraction, did not reopen following Tokyo Joypolis' temporary closure)[9][10]

  • 15 July 2011-18 July 2016 - The Room of Living Dolls: Blue Fear (生き人形 蒼の間) (Second version of above attraction)[11][12]
  • 30 July 2016-31 July 2017 - VR Living Doll Room (VR生き人形の間) (VR version of the original 2005 attraction)[13][14]
  • 9 August 2017-7 May 2019 - The Room of Living Dolls (生き人形の間 赫) (Revival of the original 2005 attraction)[15][16]
  • 25 July 2019-1 March 2020 - Hozuki's Coolheadedness - 3D Sound Attraction (鬼灯の冷徹 ~立体音響異聞~) (Based on the Anime series Hozuki's Coolheadedness, was planned to close on 9 June 2020, but pushed forward after the park's closure due to the COVID-19 Pandemic)[17][18]
  • 23 July 2020-present - Murder Lodge (マーダーロッジ) (Revival of the original attraction)[19]
