Gekion Live Coaster (Japanese: 撃音 ライブ コースター) is a steel spinning roller coaster located at Tokyo Joypolis in Odaiba, Minato, Tokyo, Japan.[1] It is located on the 1st floor.[2]

History

The coaster was added as part of the park's remodelling phase, and opened with it on 14 July 2012.

The coaster reopened under its current theme and name on 12 July 2016, the twentieth anniversary of the park itself.[3]

Design

Elements

It is the first spinning roller coaster with an inversion. The ride is interactive and guests play a game while riding. As Veil of Dark, the interactive game was shooting-based.

After its rebranding to Gekion Live, the interactive game became a rhythm game.

Theme

During collaboration events at the park, the music rhythm game will change to fit the event theme. Otherwise, the ride features music from Sonic the Hedgehog and Joypolis's virtual idol LOPIT.

Trains

5 cars. Riders are arranged 2 across in 2 rows, for a total of 4 riders per car.
