Wild River - The Treasure Hunt (Japanese: ワイルドリバー ザ・トレジャーハント) is a Simulator located at Tokyo Joypolis in Odaiba, Minato, Tokyo, Japan.

History

Wild River (Japanese: ワイルドリバー) opened at Shinjuku Joypolis on 27 February 1998. It was the first installment of the attraction, with the attraction being promoted with a live-stream launch on Sega's website.[1][2] It was situated on the 10th floor of the park[3] within the "Heat Up" section.

After the park closed at the end of August 2000, the ride was refurbished and sent to the nearby Tokyo Joypolis as part of its remodeling phase.[4] Wild River opened there on 3 November 2000, on the "Mysterious" floor (shortly renamed to Floor 6, and currently Floor 3), with its sister attraction Wild Jungle opening the following month on 2 December; Joypolis' official reopening date.[5]

In April 2006, the ride reopened after an extensive refurbishment as Wild River - Splash! (Japanese: ワイルドリバー ~スプラッシュ!~) with the addition of physical water splash effects.[6]

The ride's current rendition opened on 19 December 2015, alongside Zombie Zoo.[7] "The Treasure Hunt" has guests boarding a raft with a skilled whitewater rafting guide named Ellie (エリー) as they explore for the hidden treasure, while avoiding the bandit Buzz.

From 20 January until 23 April 2025, the ride was closed for extensive maintenance.[8][9]
