Pirate Swinger is a Junior Chair-O-Plane built by Italian manufacturer Park Rides Lamborghini currently located at Lightwater Valley in Ripon, North Yorkshire, England, UK.
History
The ride was originally built and first opened at Loudoun Castle in Galston, East Ayrshire, Scotland in 2008 as Pirate Swinger,[1] opening that year alongside Storm Breaker and Sea Patrol.
Loudoun Castle would later permanently close on 1 October 2010 by its owner, Henk Bembom.[2]
After Loudoun Castle closed, Pirate Swinger, along with a few other rides from the closed park, were sold to Lightwater Valley in Ripon, North Yorkshire, England. The ride was then subsequently dismantled and removed from the site in Scotland. The rides that were purchased from Loudoun Castle were installed in the park as part of a new pirate-themed area known as Skeleton Cove. The ride opened with the Skeleton Cove area in 2011.[3][4][5]
