History

The Funplex Myrtle Beach

Up and Overboard opened with The Funplex Myrtle Beach on May 21, 2021.[3][4]

On September 15, 2024, The Funplex finished its season, and on October 30, 2024, the park was announced to have permanently closed.[5][6] Up and Overboard, along with the rest of the park's rides, was sent back to Rides 4 U, the broker that originally sold them to The Funplex.[7]

Fun Spot America

In November 2024, Fun Spot America Theme Parks purchased 5 of the former The Funeplex rides from Rides 4 U, including Up and Overboard, however, they had not yet decided which park the ride would be relocated to.[2] All were transported to Fun Spot America to await their placements.

It arived at Fun Spot America in Kissimmee in early-February, and construction started shortly after.

Up and Overboard opened at Fun Spot on March 13, 2025.[8]
