Volare is a flying coaster product by Zamperla.

History

The first Volare opened in Elitch Gardens as Flying Coaster in 2002.

Design

Riders board the cars as they move slowly through the station. The coaster employs a unique boarding system where riders climb into the cars in an upright position via rungs at their feet and hold on to grab bars in front of their head. The ride operator secures riders by lowering a metal guard down into position behind them. As the cars leave the station, they tilt upward into a flying position.
