Gangsta Granny: The Ride is a dark ride which will open at Alton Towers in 2021. The theme is based on the Gangsta Granny children's novel by David Walliams and the ride will be located within a new themed area dedicated to the author and his books. On 29 May 2020, Alton Towers announced that the opening of the ride would be pushed back to 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
In March 2021, it was announced that Gangsta Granny: The Ride will officially open on May 17, 2021, along with the rest of The World of David Walliams, provided that stage 3 of Boris Johnson’s lockdown easing roadmap goes ahead as planned.
