Georgia Gold Rusher, originally announced as Georgia Surfer, is a steel launched spinning shuttle roller coaster at Six Flags Over Georgia in Austell, Georgia, USA. The ride is the first ever Ultra Surf model built by Intamin.[1]

History

The attraction was announced on August 19, 2023 during a presentation the park was hosting during their Coaster Fest event.[2][3] The ride was initially unnamed until a press release from the park revealed the name Georgia Surfer in early 2024. The ride was originally set to open in summer 2024, but Six Flags Over Georgia announced on August 12, 2024 that the attraction had been postponed to 2025 due to construction and issues with the supply chain.[4]

The roller coaster was renamed to Georgia Gold Rusher in an online announcement on January 22, 2025.[5] The ride was built and later repainted by Baynum Solutions.[6]

It opened on March 15, 2025.[7]

Design

According to the manufacturer, the track length is 590 feet, however rides travel around 2,000 feet due to the shuttle design.[8]

Trains

The ride has a single train with two spinning circles containing 10 seats on each side.
