Great Six Flags Air Racer was a Barnstormer previously located at Six Flags Over Georgia in Austell, Georgia, USA. It was situated in the British themed area.[1] It operated from May 11, 1984 to 2000.[2][3]
Design
Riders sat in one of twelve biplanes, which were suspended from a 135 foot tall central tower. While in motion, the ride vehicles circled the tower at a maximum height of approximately 100 feet.[1]
Incident
In its first month of operation, an electrical component failure caused some planes to fall out of position leading to collisions. 34 people were taken to hospital with minor injuries.[3]
