Looping Starship was a Ranger built by Swiss manufacturer Intamin that was previously located at Six Flags Over Georgia in Austell, Georgia, USA. It was the second ride named Looping Starship to operate at Six Flags Over Georgia, with the first one operating in 1985 before being relocated to Six Flags AstroWorld a year later.

History

The ride first appeared at Expo '86 in Canada in 1986, following which it was placed into storage. It then was purchased by Six Flags and moved to Six Flags Over Georgia, opening in 1989.[1] Looping Starship was closed during the 2005 season along with Great Gasp to make way for Goliath, a hyper roller coaster.[2][3] Parts of the ride were later used in the relocation of Looping Starship from Six Flags AstroWorld for the 2006 season as ACME Rock-n-Rocket at Six Flags Over Texas.[4]
