More actions
Thrill Valley was an amusement park located in Gotemba, Shizuoka, Japan. The park opened in 1974 and closed permanently in 2002.[1]
History
Odakyu Gotemba Family Land opened 15 November 1974.
In 2002, half of the park, including many rides, were removed to make way for an outlet mall. The park was renamed Thrill Valley sometime in this era. Later that year, the other half closed for the mall's second phase. The only attraction left standing was the Ferris wheel.[2]
After closure, Six Flags purchased four rides from the park. Three of which were installed at Six Flags New Orleans, and one at Six Flags Over Georgia.
