Catwoman's Whip was a Shake built by Dutch manufacturer Mondial that was previously located at Six Flags New Orleans in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA.

History

The ride originally opened in 1995 as Shake at Thrill Valley in Japan.

Thrill Valley permanently closed in May 2002. Six Flags bought many rides from the closed park, including Shake, and sent them to other properties. Shake was sent to Jazzland in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA, which Six Flags had recently acquired at the time. The ride was one of several rides added for 2003 as part of the rebranding of Jazzland as Six Flags New Orleans. It was completely refurbished and rethemed as Catwoman's Whip, featuring Catwoman as a statue on top of the ride.[1]

In August 2005, Six Flags New Orleans was severely damaged by Hurricane Katrina and was later permanently closed. The Catwoman statue was later removed and salvaged by Six Flags in late 2006 and was sent to Six Flags New England where it is now used for theming on Catwoman's Whip (formerly Poison Ivy's Tangled Train).

The ride was demolished in late 2024.[2]
