Wildcat was a wooden roller coaster previously located at Coney Island in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA.
History
It was built to replace the former Dip the Dips.[1][2]
On July 21, 1964, Coney Island announced that Wildcat would close later in the year and be demolished to make way for Skyride, a Ropeway from Von Roll.[3]
Design
Wildcat had a double-figure-eight layout. Future roller coasters were modeled off of Wildcat, including Wilde Beast at Canada's Wonderland in 1981, Grizzly at Kings Dominion in 1982, Bush Beast at Australia's Wonderland in 1985, and Grizzly at Great America in 1986.
