Skyride was a Ropeway built by Swiss manufacturer Von Roll that was previously located at Kings Island in Mason, Ohio, USA.

History

Skyride opened at Coney Island in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA in 1965 and replaced the Wildcat.[1] The ride closed with the park in 1971 and was relocated to Kings Island.

After the ride closed in 1979, both stations remained. The one in the Oktoberfest section was repurposed as a restaurant. The other remains and is now a gift shop, Snoopy Boutique.

Incident

A mechanical malfunction halted the ride on April 24, 1977 and stranded 38 riders for up to eight hours. Rescue workers from neighboring towns aided in the rescue efforts.[2]
