History
The Carousel opened at Coney Island in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA in 1926. It replaced an existing carousel and re-used the same building. The ride was relocated within the park in 1932 into a new building designed by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company.[1]
The ride was refurbished in 1969 at a cost of $50,000.[2]
After Coney Island closed in 1971, the ride was relocated to Kings Island. Its structure remained standing at Coney Island until it was demolished in 1985.[3]
Incident
A 68-year-old woman fell from the ride in 1947 and died.[4]
