The Floorless Coaster is a type of train from Bolliger & Mabillard which does not have a floor, allowing riders to see the track beneath their feet.

Newer Dive Coaster installations have also had floorless trains, with up to ten riders per row. Some former stand-up roller coasters, such as Mantis at Cedar Point, have floorless trains added later in their lives.

History

The first Floorless Coaster, Medusa at Six Flags Great Adventure, opened in 1999.

All of the Floorless Coaster installations have custom layouts, except Medusa and Scream! at Six Flags Magic Mountain, which are mirror images of each other.
