Inverter was a ride product previously manufactured by Chance Rides which was introduced in 1998. The ride was designed in conjunction with UK manufacturer A.R.M., who produced a couple of examples for the UK market, also under the name Inverter.
Design
The ride's structure consists of a counterweighted arm bearing a 24 person gondola with riders seated in six rows of four. As the arm rotates back and forth, the gondola is geared to flip opposite, and at twice the rate, of the main boom. The structure is similar to A.R.M.'s Ali Baba, but with a different gear ratio to the gondola attachment, creating a completely different ride.
Riders are held in by over-the-shoulder harnesses.
The attraction can be packed onto a single trailer.
