Tottering Turtles was a Junior Tumble Bug built by American company R.E. Chambers previously located at Wyandot Lake in Powell, Ohio, USA.
History
In 1969, the ride originally opened at Geauga Lake in Aurora, Ohio as The Turtle.[1][2] It was later renamed to Tottering Turtles by 1986 when Kiddieland became Rainbow Island.[3]
When Geauga Lake rebranded as Six Flags Ohio for the 2000 season, a majority of the flat rides at the park were sent over to its nearby smaller sister park Wyandot Lake in Powell, Ohio. This included Tottering Turtles, which opened in 2000. After Six Flags sold the park's lease to Columbus Zoo and Aquarium at the end of the 2006 season, the ride was auctioned off to an unknown buyer.[4][5] Its fate is currently unknown.
