Woodstock Express is a wooden roller coaster located at Carowinds in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. The ride was once recognized by the American Coaster Enthusiasts as an "ACE Coaster Classic". However, this award has been revoked due to recent changes to the ride.
History
The coaster opened as Scooby-Doo in 1975, named after the Hanna-Barbera cartoon of the same name. It was renamed Scooby Doo's Ghoster Coaster in 1993.
In 2005, with Hanna-Barbera Land rebranding as Nickelodeon Central, the coaster was renamed Fairly Odd Coaster, after the Nicktoon The Fairly OddParents!.[1]
In 2010, with Nickelodeon Central becoming Planet Snoopy, the coaster gained its current name.
When Carowinds announced that Planet Snoopy would become Camp Snoopy in 2018, Woodstock Express retained its current name.
In 2020, a large portion of Woodstock Express was rebuilt.[2]
