Skyway was a ropeway attraction built by Swiss firm Intamin and Austrian firm Waagner-Biro previously located at Carowinds amusement park in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA.[1] The ride transported passengers between two stations, one located in North Carolina and the other in South Carolina.
History
The ride opened with the park in 1973 and was removed after the 1981 season.[2] Both station buildings remain; one is now home to Chickie's & Pete's Sports Grill restaurant and the other to the Camp Store retail location.[3]
