Green Lantern: First Flight was an Intamin ZacSpin roller coaster located at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California, USA. The cars were similar to the cars on , in that they were located off to the sides of the track, as opposed to above it. Unlike X² however, these cars had the ability to spin freely.

History[edit | edit source]

The ride did not operate after late 2017 due to unknon reasons, and on March 23, 2019, Six Flags Magic Mountain announced that Green Lantern: First Flight would be removed from the park in the near future to make way for future developments.[2]

Theming[edit | edit source]

The ride was themed to the DC Comics superhero Green Lantern, voiced by Steve Blum. The ride shared its name with a movie in the DC Animated Universe, which came out in 2009. However, this ride opened, alongside its East Coast equivalent, to promote the live-action Green Lantern movie starring Ryan Reynolds in the titular role. The movie was a bomb, and many say both rides are bad, just like the movie.
