History

The ride opened at Lake Compounce in Bristol, Connecticut, USA in 1997. It closed in 2002.

The ride was relocated to Kennywood in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania, USA in 2003 and was renamed King Kahuna.[1] It closed in 2009.

The ride reopened at its current location in 2010.

Incident

On July 5, 2008, a 43-year-old woman rode King Kahuna and later alleged that she suffered spinal damage after the ride stopped in an upside-down position. A jury later ruled that the woman's injuries were not caused by the ride.[2]
