Monorail was a suspended Monorail manufactured by the Ohio Mechanical Handling Company that previously operated at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio, USA. It originally operated at Summit Beach Park in Akron, Ohio, USA.

History

Monorail was installed at Summit Beach Park in 1957. Following the closure of the park in 1958, the Monorail was relocated to Cedar Point where it opened on June 20, 1959.[1][2][3] The ride produced more income than any other ride at the park that season, and recorded 13,000 riders in a single day.[4] It was removed in 1965.[5]
