Demon Drop is a freefall ride currently located at Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom in Allentown, Pennsylvania, USA. It previously operated at Cedar Point from 1983 to 2009.

History

In 1982, Cedar Point announced the addition of Demon Drop. The ride opened on May 15, 1983.[1][2]

Demon Drop was temporarily closed on May 22, 1984 following an accident on the similar The Edge at Marriott's Great America in Gurnee, Illinois. It reopened on May 24.[3]

The ride was put up for sale in 2005.[4]

In October 2009, the park announced that Demon Drop would be moved to Knott's Berry Farm.[5] However, the ride was sent to Dorney Park instead. It reopened on July 2, 2010.[6]
