River Caves is a self-built Dark Boat Ride built by Blackpool Pleasure Beach that is currently located at Pleasure Beach Resort in Blackpool, Lancashire, England, UK.
History
The ride was refurbished and partially altered by Swiss manufacturer Intamin in 1974. The small drop at the end of the ride was added at this time.
The ride operated for the first weekend of the 2024 season but was subsequently closed. It is listed as closed due to 'planned maintenance' on the park's website.[1][2]
In early 2025 a statement was released by the park stating that "River Caves will be the next ride to receive a re-imagining."[3]
The ride was similar and identical to the former Lost Dinosaurs of the Sahara that was located at former sister park Pleasureland Southport.
