History

Exterior of Trauma Towers

The ride can be traced back to the Haunted Hotel walk-through attraction which opened in 1980. A Tagada ride was later installed adjacent to the Haunted Hotel. In 1999, these two attractions were incorporated into a new combined attraction called Trauma Towers.[1][2]

Trauma Towers was damaged in a fire in May 2004 that destroyed the station of Grand National.[3]

Trauma Towers closed in 2008 and the Tagada machine was sold to UK showman Walter Murphy who travelled with it in 2010. In December 2010, it was sold to UK showman Stewart Robinson.

The Trauma Towers structure was removed in early January 2018 along with the Wild Mouse.[4]
