OMG was an Evolution built by Italian manufacturer Fabbri that was previously located at Southport Pleasureland in Southport, Merseyside, England, UK.
History
The ride was originally built in 2001 and operated at Camelot Theme Park in Chorley, Lancashire, England, UK as Excalibur 2 from 2001 until the closure of the park in 2012.[1] The ride was built partially on the former plot of Tower of Tower, which was removed the previous year.
The name and theme was in reference to Excalibur which operated from 1995 to 2000 in a different location.
After Camelot Theme Park closed in 2012, the ride along with others from the former park, were purchased by Southport Pleasureland in Southport, Merseyside, England, UK. The ride was repainted fully white, retaining its castle theming from Camelot Theme Park and opened in 2013 as OMG.
In 2014, OMG was repainted green and purple. The ride was removed after the 2015 season.
Incident
A 12-year-old boy was seriously injured when he fell from the attraction on 23 August 2011.[2]
