Astro Orbiter is a Jets ride located at Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California, USA. It opened on May 22, 1998.[1][2] The ride is a successor of the now defunct Rocket Jets attraction.
History
Astro Orbiter was added to coincide with the then-recent 1998 renovation of the Tomorrowland area of the park. The ride was similar to a ride already located at Disneyland Paris. Originally, the ride was going to be on top of the structure where Rocket Jets once stood, but the structure was calculated to be far too heavy for the PeopleMover platform to withstand.[citation needed]
In 2009, the structure of the attraction was repainted.[citation needed]
