Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind is a Balloon Race built by Zamperla located at Disney California Adventure Park in Anaheim, California, USA. It is based on the 2015 Disney Pixar film Inside Out.
History
The ride originally opened on October 7, 2002, as Flik's Flyers in the new A Bug's Land, based on the 1998 Disney Pixar film A Bug's Life.[1] The ride was styled to be "bug-made", with baskets being made out of food boxes, and sticks holding up giant fallen leaves which Flik has stitched together.
On September 4, 2018, the attraction closed with everything else in A Bug's Land to make way for Avengers Campus. The ride was disassembled and taken back to Zamperla to be completely refreshed as the Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind, the only attraction from the retained land to see a repurpose in life at Pixar Pier. The ride was placed in the land formerly accompanied by Maliboomer. The ride reopened under its new theme and name on June 27, 2019.[2]
