Maliboomer was a drop tower previously located at Disney California Adventure Park in Anaheim, California, USA.
History
Maliboomer opened with Disney California Adventure Park on February 8, 2001.[1]
The ride closed on September 6, 2010, for a 6-year, 1.1 billion-dollar expansion and renovation project from the park.[2][3]
Design
Maliboomer was designed to look like the high-striker game, with ascending "points" labeled on the tower at varying heights and a bell that rang as you reached the top.[4]
At some point, plexiglass shields were installed on each restraint to reduce noise from riders and comply with local noise laws.[5]
