Wagon Wheel was a Trabant built by US manufacturer Chance Rides that was previously located at Six Flags AstroWorld in Houston, Texas, USA.
History:
The ride originally opened at AstroWorld in Houston, Texas, USA when the park opened on June 1, 1968.
It was located in the Western Junction section. In 1999, the ride was temporary removed from the park due to structural problems. The following year in 2000, it was re-installed after being fixed.[1]
Six Flags AstroWorld closed on October 30, 2005.[2] Wagon Wheel was relocated to Six Flags Elitch Gardens in Denver, Colorado, USA to be rebuilt for the 2006 season and replace Chaos, which had been removed the previous year. However, the ride was damaged when it was being transported to the park and arrived in poor condition. Plans to install it at the park were cancelled and the ride was eventually put into storage before being scrapped.[3][4]
