SkyScreamer was a Freefall ride previously located at Six Flags AstroWorld in Houston, Texas, USA. It operated from 1983 to 1997.[1][2]

History:

SkyScreamer opened at Six Flags AstroWorld in 1983.

The ride was removed at the end of the 1997 season to make room for Taz's Texas Tornado, a portable Schwarzkopf looping roller coaster which operated on its former site from 1998 until 2000.

Following its removal, SkyScreamer was relocated to Six Flags St. Louis in Eureka, Missouri, USA, but the ride was never re-assembled and eventually scrapped. Its cars were later sent to Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey, USA for use on Stuntman's Freefall, but were never used on the ride and sat in the park's maintenance yard for many years.[3]

In 2001, SkyScreamer's cars were spotted at Six Flags Worlds of Adventure in Aurora, Ohio, USA for use as spare parts on Mr. Hyde's Nasty Fall.[4]
