Stuntman's Freefall was a Freefall ride located at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey, USA. It operated from 1983 to 2006.

History

The ride originally opened on March 31, 1983 as Freefall.[1] It was a huge success and drew large crowds.

The ride closed in May 1984 due to an incident on The Edge at Six Flags Great America.[2]

For the 1993 season, the section where Freefall was located became Movietown. Freefall was renamed to Stuntman's Freefall. In addition, it received a more industrial gray and blue color scheme.[3]

In the spring of 1997, Stuntman's Freefall along with Movietown Water Effect were closed while Batman And Robin: The Chiller was being built. The entrance was relocated near the exit with an extra sidewalk being added to bring guests into the existing queue house and allowing construction for the new Snowy's Snacks.[3]

By 2006, Stuntman's Freefall suffered large amounts of downtime due to the Freefall components being discontinued by Intamin. The ride would operate sporadically for the last few months.[3]

Stuntman's Freefall was demolished during the 2006-2007 off-season. The former site became a landscaped barrier between the park and the backstage areas of the park. A patio for Snowy's Snacks occupied the former queue line.[3]
