Chaos is a Super Loop ride located at La Ronde in Montréal, Québec, Canada. It was relocated from Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey, USA, where it was known as El Diablo.
History
On August 28, 2014, the addition of Looping Dragon was announced. The ride was to be Asian themed and situated in the Golden Kingdom themed area.[1] However, on January 14, 2015 the park announced that the new attraction would instead be named El Diablo and have a theme inspired by the Jersey Devil. The location of the ride was also changed and it was installed in Plaza Del Carnival on the spot previously occupied by the station of Rolling Thunder, which closed in 2013. Part of Rolling Thunder's queue line was reused for El Diablo.[2]
A media event was held on May 14, 2015 with an appearance from the New Jersey Devils' mascot. It opened exclusively for season pass holders on the 14th and 15th before opening to the public on May 16.[2]
El Diablo was dismantled in fall 2018.[2] It was sent to La Ronde, where it reopened as Chaos on May 11, 2019.[3]
