Harley Quinn Crazy Train is a steel family roller coaster located at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey, USA. For the 2016 season, due to the addition of The Joker, the name of the roller coaster was changed. Previously, it was called Blackbeard's Lost Treasure Train.
History
The coaster first opened in 1999 as Blackbeard's Lost Treasure Train, as part of the "War on Lines" the park was in the midst of. Of course, this name implied its theming of the legendary pirate Blackbeard.[1]
In 2005, a new entrance sign was added to the ride.[2]
In May 2016, with the addition of The Joker to the Lakefront area, the coaster was renamed Harley Quinn Crazy Train to match the new coaster's theming, as Harley Quinn is the accomplice of The Joker. This change marked the first ride in the park themed to a female superhero, as in DC Comics, Harley Quinn eventually turns against The Joker and joins the Suicide Squad, becoming their leader.[3]
