Superman Ultimate Flight is a Bolliger & Mabillard flying roller coaster located at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey, USA. This design has also been used at two other Six Flags parks, which are Six Flags Great America and Six Flags Over Georgia.

History

In October 2002, Six Flags Great Adventure announced that Superman Ultimate Flight would be added for the 2003 season.[1]

The ride officially opened on April 17, 2003, replacing an unused plot of the parking lot.[2] The queue line depicts various characters from the Superman mythos, including Lois Lane, Lex Luthor, the '90s version of Brainiac (where he was a possessed circus psychic named Milton Fine), Mr. Mxyzptlk and Maxima. Until 2009, the station played John Williams' "Superman March" from the 1978 Superman movie, directed by Richard Donner and the theme from the '90s TV show Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman.[3]

Superman Ultimate Flight was repainted in 2019.[4] The repaint was formally announced on April 1, 2019.[5]
