Condor is a Condor built by German manufacturer HUSS located at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, Illinois, USA. It originally operated at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey, USA in 1988.
History
Condor first opened at Six Flags Great Adventure on April 4, 1988 and was marketed as the first Condor in the USA.[1] It replaced the park's Calypso. The ride operated until October 28, 1990, when it was dismantled and relocated to Six Flags Great America, where it opened in 1991.[2]
During all of the 2023 operating season, the website claimed that the ride would be "Opening Late Summer" only for it to never open at all that year. The ride vehicles could be seen detached from the main column, all in a row, during the year. At No Coaster Con 2024, Six Flags announced that the ride is "scheduled to reopen."[3]
