Dare Devil Dive was a Skycoaster built by Sky Fun 1 Inc. formerly located at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, Illinois, USA.
History
The ride officially opened on April 26, 1997.[1] It was built on the former site of Big Top, which was relocated within the park in 1996 as Ricochet in the Southwest Territory area.[2]
The ride did not operate in 2023. In August 2023, it was announced that Dare Devil Dive would never reopen and was being replaced with Sky Striker.[3] The ride was disassembled and sat in pieces on park property as of late October.[4]
As of February 20, 2024, the disassembled ride's pieces were moved from near the back entrance of the park to the employee parking lot.[5]
