Goliath is a wooden roller coaster located at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, Illinois, USA. It has been operating since 2014.
History
On August 29, 2013, Six Flags Great America announced the addition of Goliath.[2] The ride replaced Iron Wolf and re-used the former roller coaster's station.
The lead car for Goliath's train was unveiled at the 2013 IAAPA Expo.
Original concept art of the attraction showed a full wooden structure. The art was later updated to reflect the finalized design, with a truss structure for the lift hill and drop.
The ride was set to open on May 31, 2014, but the opening was delayed.[3] Goliath opened on June 19, 2014.[4]
