DC Super Villains Swing is a Waveswinger built by German manufacturer Zierer currently located at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, Illinois, USA.
History
The ride opened with the park as Whirligig in 1976.[1]
In 1992, for the opening of Batman The Ride and the Gotham City area, Whirligig was renamed to Gotham City Swinger. In 1993, the name was changed back.
In 2001, Whirligig was relocated to another spot in front of Batman The Ride to make room for V2: Vertical Velocity.[2]
On March 24, 2022, Six Flags Great America announced that Whirligig would be rethemed to DC Super Villains Swing as part of the new DC Universe area of the park.[3]
