King Arthur Carrousel is a Dentzel carousel located at Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California, USA.
History
In 1922, the carousel opened at Sunnyside Amusement Park in Toronto, Canada. The park closed in 1955, and the ride was relocated to the new Disneyland Park.[1]
King Arthur Carrousel opened on July 17, 1955, following a refurbishment by Arrow Development.
In 2003, the carousel was refurbished again. Four horses were removed to make way for a bench to meet American accessibility requirements.[2]
Design
King Arthur Carrousel consists of 68 hand-carved horses as well as a single bench.
The ride plays a list of various organ covers of Disney songs.
