History

The ride was originally built for the showman partnership of Raymond Codona & Steve Graham, who presented it at major fairgrounds across the UK under the name Jungle River. In July 2001, the ride was sold to Billy & Adam Williams of Tir Prince Fun Park in Wales. At the end of the 2002 season, Jungle River was sold again, this time to Michael Harrison of Bayside Fun Park in Bridlington.

At the end of the 2011 season, the ride was sold to Southport Pleasureland and was built on the former site of the former Chewits Log Chute, which closed in 2006 as part of the original Pleasureland Southport. The ride was renamed Loki's Log Flume and reopened in 2012.
