HELP

Cyborg: Hyper Drive is an enclosed Trabant/Satellite ride located in the DC Super Hero Adventures section of Six Flags New England in Agawam, Massachusetts, USA. It opened on June 1, 2019, after a soft opening on May 26.

The ride is located in the same space as The Joker's Wildcard when it used to be enclosed. Since the building had complied with fire code regulations by then, the ride was built.

Attraction plot

Cyborg invites guests to S.T.A.R. Labs to try out a new device called the Hyper Drive which can map out the multiverse, when suddenly Grid hacks into the mainframe and takes control of the entire lab. He intends to take the device into hypertime so he can spread his programming to every corner of the multiverse. Riders are caught up in the battle as Cyborg wrestles to regain control of the enormous machine. Cyborg ends up isolating Grid and purging the system to stop him, then interfaces with the Hyper Drive and shuts it down to save the day.

Trivia

  • Cyborg: Hyper Drive is Grid's debut appearance in a theme park attraction.
  • Cyborg: Hyper Drive is the second attraction to be dedicated to Cyborg, following Cyborg Cyber Spin at Six Flags Great Adventure, and his third appearance in a Six Flags attraction overall.
  • The attraction's storyline is notably hard to follow because it's at a low volume, thus the noise the ride makes drowns it out.
  • Grid is erroneously referred to as "The Grid" on Six Flags New England's initial press release for this ride. In the ACE Nor Easter video Six Flags New England put out in February 2019, Grid is referred to by his correct name, but is referred to as a "virus" instead of an artificial intelligence. By the ride's opening, however, Grid was referred to by his correct name and species in the second press release. Grid is still referred to as a "virus" in the queue line signs for the ride.
  • Cyborg is voiced by Bumper Robinson in this ride. Robinson previously voiced Cyborg in Justice League: Battle for Metropolis. It is unknown who Grid is voiced by. If it were Robinson, he reprises his role as Grid from the 2018 video game LEGO DC Super Villains, although his voice sounded drastically different then. A few have noted Grid's voice sounds similar to the voice that was played on El Diablo at Six Flags Great Adventure.
  • Apple's Siri voices the computer in this ride.
  • Atomica and Mazahs are absent from the Crime Syndicate sign in the queue line; however, that might be because the comic cover the artwork was lifted from did not feature them.
