The carousel first opened in 1917 at Riverside Park in Agawam, Massachusetts, USA. The ride was owned by John Aroldi and was built at a cost of $12,000. It was sold to John Gugliemetti for $13,000 in 1925 but remained at the park. It was sold again, now to George Williams, for $3,000 in 1936.[1]
The ride was relocated to Roger Williams Park in Providence, Rhode Island, USA for the 1939 season. It remained in operation there through 1973.[1]
The ride reopened at Kings Dominion in 1975 after a two-year refurbishment.[1]
