El Sombrero is a Trabant/Satellite built by US manufacturer Chance Rides currently located at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington, Texas, USA.

History

El Sombrero opened in 1965 as part of the Mexico section of the park, replacing La Cucaracha.[2]

In 1979, it was moved to the Spain section, replacing the Ferrocarril Fiesta Train.

In 2006, El Sombrero was moved back to the Mexico section to make room for La Fiesta de las Tazas.

In 2023, El Sombrero was given an refurbishment, being repainted into brand new colors.[3]
