Roaring Rapids is a River Rapids ride built by Intamin located at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington, Texas, USA. It has been operating since 1983.
History
Roaring Rapids officially opened on April 1, 1983. The ride costed $4.2 million to build.[1]
Incident
On March 21, 1999, a 28-year-old woman was killed and ten other passengers were injured after the raft they were in overturned due to a sudden deflation of the air chambers that supported it. According to park management, the woman drowned in the water when she was unable to release her seat belt.[2]
